AMAIZING BREAD MIX

 SUITS MANY PEOPLE WITH A WHEAT, GLUTEN,  YEAST AND LACTOSE INTOLERANCE

  INGREDIENTS: MAIZE STARCH, DEXTROSE, BAKING POWDER, SOYA FLOUR, THICKENER (MAIZE) SALT, VEGETABLE GUM (410, 415, 466) GLUTEN IF PRESENT <0.003/100G 

Due to improved technology it is now possible to detect the presence of gluten (below 0.003g per 100g ) in products regarded for many years as "gluten free" and used satisfactorily by persons suffering from Coeliac Disease. This product is regarded as likely to suit most persons requiring a gluten free diet and is endorsed as such by the Coeliac Society

This breadmix can be used in many ways – bread (either in bread-machine or hand mixing and oven baked), pikelets, pancakes, and used in lasagne dishes, cannelloni, as a batter for coating fish or chicken, pizza base and cakes and muffins.

For best results, oven baking is recommended, however a good loaf can be attained using a bread-machine.  Simply use your “Yeast Free” or “Cake” programme  

THE  AMAIZING BREAD--MACHINE LOAF  

Follow the quantities on the label. Weigh the Bread-mix (do not attempt to simply "cup" the required amount) and ensure the bread-mix is properly mixed to a smooth consistency as described on the label. 

The programme used should be "yeast free" or alternately "cake"  Not all machines have these cycles, however some allow manual intervention to achieve the required outcome.

Variations: Seeds, grains and herbs can be added during the mixing time

Cheese & Herb concentrate
BBQ spice (a chilli base spice)
Capsicum & Onion mix – Cape seed mix, 

Country grain (contains crushed wheat- do not add to wheat free or gluten free bread-mixes)                                          
Many other additives can be successfully used. Ensure any product used has no wheat or flour which will contaminate the mix with gluten.

The quantities used for oven baking of Amaizing Bread differ from those used in a bread machine.
